On February 3, 2025, a wave of excitement swept through our school community as 92 joyful students, their supportive parents, and our dedicated teachers embarked on a thrilling journey to Water World in Kelaniya. With hearts full of anticipation and songs echoing through three packed buses, the day promised fun, discovery, and unforgettable memories.
This wasn’t just any school trip — it was a carefully planned experience to spark wonder in our children as they explored the beauty and variety of God’s creation. From the tiniest fish to the most majestic birds, every creature pointed to the brilliance of our Creator.
Upon arrival, the students’ eyes lit up as they stepped into a world alive with color and movement. One of the day’s most exciting moments was the boat safari, where they glided peacefully through the waters, surrounded by lush greenery and the sounds of chirping birds. Many students said it felt like traveling across continents, discovering fish and birds native to distant lands — all in one place!
Throughout the day, students learned not only about marine life and environmental conservation, but also about the importance of stewarding God’s creation with care and gratitude. Teachers and parents helped guide meaningful conversations about how we are called, as Christians, to respect and protect the earth.
Laughter, learning, and lively discussions filled every corner of Water World. The presence of families and the unity among students and staff made it feel like one big, joy-filled fellowship.
As the buses rolled back to school, tired but happy faces told the story — it was a day rich in adventure, learning, and spiritual reflection. The children returned with wide smiles, full hearts, and a renewed sense of wonder for the world around them.
Truly, this was more than just a field trip. It was a celebration of learning, community, and God’s magnificent handiwork.
