A Delayed but Special Evening
Last December, our school came together for a Christmas program with the theme “A Christmas to Remember.” We had planned it earlier, but the Ditwah cyclone disrupted our schedule. Because of that, we held the program at the end of the month. In the end, the wait made the evening feel even more special.
An Evening Full of Life
The program was full of music, movement, and creativity. At one point, an angel—played by Denver—carefully climbed a ladder to reach a star. That moment alone made the night unforgettable.
The stage came alive with songs, dances, and skits. Tehilah and Shamma made everyone smile as they fully embraced their roles as bleating sheep. Nathan brought laughter as a storytelling grandmother, sharing the Christmas story with his “grandchildren.”
The Story of Christmas
At the heart of the program, Ariyana and Saara portrayed Joseph and Mary. They reminded us of the humble beginning of the greatest story ever told. Daniella, Githusha, and Tabitha appeared as the three wise men, walking across the stage in search of the newborn King.
The raffle draws added excitement throughout the evening. The program ended with a powerful black light performance that amazed the audience and showcased the students’ creativity.
A Deeper Meaning
However, the evening was more than just performances and entertainment. Through every song, dance, and skit, students pointed us to the true meaning of Christmas—the birth of Jesus Christ.
In today’s world, people often reduce Christmas to decorations and celebrations. Yet Christmas is about something far greater. It is about hope. About light entering darkness. And about God stepping into our world.
Even the lighter moments—the climbing angel, the cheerful sheep, and the storytelling grandmother—carried a deeper message. They all pointed to the story of a Savior who came not just to be remembered once a year, but to be known and followed every day.
A United School Community
The entire school community played a part in making the evening special. Students gave their energy and enthusiasm. Teachers guided them with patience. Staff worked faithfully behind the scenes.
Together, we saw a beautiful picture of unity—many people, different roles, one purpose.
More Than an Event
That purpose goes beyond a single program. As a Christian school, we do more than teach subjects. We shape hearts. We guide students toward truth, purpose, and ultimately toward Christ.
A Lasting Message
As we reflect on that evening, one thing stands out. What made it unforgettable was not just the performances or the creativity. It was the message.
A message of hope.
A message of love.
A message of a Savior given to the world.
That is why it was truly a Christmas to remember.
