February 28, 2025 marked a historic day at All Nations International School, as we proudly hosted the very first ICSF (International Christian Schools Fellowship) Cricket Tournament, launching an exciting new tradition in inter-school sports. The atmosphere was electric as five esteemed Christian schools—All Nations International School, Gethsemane College, Paalam School, King’s International College, and Logos College—came together for a thrilling day of cricket, competition, and fellowship.
Each team came ready to give their best, and after an intense series of matches marked by powerful plays and strategic brilliance, Logos College emerged victorious, claiming the title of the first-ever ICSF Cricket Champions! Our very own All Nations International School made us proud by finishing as 1st Runners-Up, displaying courage, determination, and grace under pressure.
Standout Performances
The tournament also showcased some truly outstanding individual talent:
-
🏆 Shanan Amarasekara (Logos College) stole the spotlight, earning Best Bowler and Player of the Tournament with his fierce bowling and all-round performance.
-
🏏 Sohan Amasith (All Nations) wowed spectators with his skillful batting, rightfully claiming the Best Batsman title.
But beyond the trophies and titles, this tournament was a celebration of character, teamwork, and faith. As a network of Christian schools, we were reminded that while we strive for excellence on the field, we are also called to honor God in everything we do, showing integrity, respect, and Christ-like sportsmanship.
We are thankful to God for blessing the day with beautiful weather (till the end of the tournament), safety, and unity among all participants. Events like this are a reminder that sports can be a powerful platform for building friendships, growing in discipline, and reflecting the love of Christ—even in the heat of competition.
The ICSF Cricket Tournament 2025 was more than just a game—it was the beginning of a tradition rooted in faith, fellowship, and fun. Congratulations once again to Logos College, and a big cheer to every player, coach, and organizer who made the day unforgettable!
