What an incredible day it was! On October 3rd, 2024, our school family came together to celebrate one of the most exciting events of the year—Awards Day! It was a time of joy, honor, and thanksgiving as we recognized the amazing talents and hard work of our students, teachers, and staff. The room was filled with excitement, and you could feel the energy in the air!
The ceremony began with the lighting of the traditional oil lamp, a beautiful reminder that knowledge and wisdom come from God, who is the Light of the World (John 8:12). As the flames flickered, it was as if they whispered, “Shine your light for Jesus wherever you go!”
Our school director, Mr. David Ribakov, took the stage with an inspiring message about perseverance and faith. He reminded us that true success isn’t just about getting awards—it’s about trusting God, working hard, and never giving up.
Next, our Chief Guest, Mrs. Sandra Vasanth, Principal of Gethsemane International College, encouraged our students to dream big, aim high, and keep learning with curiosity and courage. She reminded us that God has given each of us unique gifts and talents, and it’s our job to use them for His glory.
Then came the best part—the awards! Students were honored for their achievements in academics, sports, and special talents. Cheers filled the hall as medals and trophies were handed out, and the smiles on the students’ faces were priceless! But the celebration wasn’t just about the students—our dedicated teachers were also recognized for their years of faithful service, from 5 to 20 years! Their commitment to shaping young hearts and minds is truly a blessing.
The day wasn’t just about speeches and awards—it was full of life, music, and color! Our talented students put on amazing performances, from cultural dances to musical acts, filling the hall with joy. It was a beautiful reminder that God delights in creativity and has given us gifts to express His beauty in different ways.
Of course, an event this grand doesn’t happen overnight! It took months of prayer, planning, and teamwork to make it a success. A huge THANK YOU to our incredible teachers, committee members, parents, and sponsors for making this day so special.
As we look back on this celebration, let’s remember: success is not just about trophies and certificates—it’s about growing in wisdom, faith, and love for God and others. Jesus said, “Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth… but store up for yourselves treasures in heaven” (Matthew 6:19-20). So, as we continue our journey, let’s strive not only for excellence in our studies but also for a heart that honors God in all we do.
Here’s to another year of learning, growing, and shining for Jesus!
