On Friday, 26th September 2025, our Primary School students brought energy, laughter, and determination to the Inter-House Sports Meet— held at the Spring Hope Hostel Ground from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Well… almost! Thanks to a morning downpour that seemed determined to join the fun, we relocated the event to our auditorium. And yet, nothing could dampen our spirits!
We were honoured by the presence of our Chief Guest, Shihan Nuwan Suranga, Black Belt 5th Dan and Technical Director of Hayashi Ha Shito Ryu Kai – Sri Lanka Branch. His inspiring words reminded our young athletes that discipline, courage, and perseverance on the track reflect God’s call for us to run life’s race with purpose (1 Corinthians 9:24).
The students dashed, jumped, and threw their hearts into sprints, relays, long jump, ball throw, and hilarious novelty races that had everyone giggling and cheering. Every house gave their best, with teamwork, encouragement, and a healthy dose of competitive spirit shining through. Even when socks slipped on the wet floor or relays went sideways, laughter and determination triumphed!
In the end, Aithalese House claimed the Overall Championship, followed closely by Isosukaws, Semnaws, and Nasmaws. But the real victory was in witnessing our students support one another, celebrate every success, and show resilience—reminding us all that true strength comes from God’s guidance and the joy of community.
The day ended with happy faces, high-fives, and hearts full of faith, proving that even a rainy morning cannot wash away God’s joy, teamwork, and the spirit of sportsmanship.
