Awards Ceremony 2024-2025

The school auditorium came alive with applause, proud smiles, and a few happy tears on Thursday, 2nd October 2025, as we gathered to celebrate our much- anticipated Awards Ceremony for the 2024–2025 academic year. From 3:00 to 5:30 p.m., the spotlight shone brightly on students and staff whose hard work, faith, and perseverance truly reflected God’s goodness.

The celebration began on the perfect note—with worship. The STAND Band led us in a powerful song of praise, reminding everyone that every achievement ultimately points back to God, the giver of all gifts.

This was followed by the lighting of the oil lamp by our distinguished guests, symbolising wisdom, guidance, and God’s light leading our journey. Our Principal, Mr. David Ribakov, then warmly welcomed everyone, setting a joyful and thankful tone for the evening.

We were deeply honoured to have Dr. Sarath Perera, Dean of the Faculty of Education and Senior Lecturer in Educational Psychology, as our Chief Guest. His inspiring address encouraged students not only to chase excellence but to grow in character, humility, and purpose—because success means far more when it is rooted in faith.

Then came the moment everyone was waiting for—the awards! Cheers filled the hall as students were recognised for academic excellence, including subject prize winners, General Proficiency awards, and outstanding achievements in Cambridge and National O/L and A/L examinations.

Sports stars were applauded for their dedication on the field, while awards for Perfect and Near-Perfect Attendance reminded us that faithfulness in small things truly matters. Energetic dance performances sprinkled throughout the programme kept spirits high and reminded us that celebrating success can be joyful and fun too.

The evening also honoured those who faithfully serve behind the scenes. Our long-serving staff members were recognised with Service Awards marking 5, 10, 15, and 20 years of dedication, along with awards for exemplary attendance. Their commitment stands as a living testimony of serving “as unto the Lord.”

The ceremony concluded with a thoughtful reflection on the year’s achievements, leaving everyone reminded that while trophies and certificates are meaningful, the true reward lies in growth, gratitude, and glorifying God through our lives.

It was a memorable afternoon—one that celebrated excellence, faith, perseverance, and the beautiful truth that when God is at the centre, every achievement shines a little brighter.
